ERNEMANN Ermanox Very good condition
Viewable in Paris by appointment.
This 6 x 4.5 format camera was an instant sensation upon its release in 1924 thanks to its Ernostar lens, unprecedented for its time, with an aperture of f/2, while the best lenses opened to f/3.5. The camera's exceptional brightness and small size allowed for indoor photography without a flash, largely unnoticed by those present. An iconic Ernemann product, this "compact" model was the first in a series of Ermanox cameras produced in several variations (Klapp, Reflex) and formats. It was later designated as "rigid" to distinguish it from other models.
Offered here in very good condition, with rare accessories (two original Ernemann backs + two Leitz backs) — a complete set for a discerning amateur or knowledgeable collector.
