[Exc+3] Leica M3 DS Body - Old Speed Scale - Glass Pressure Plate

Leica M3 Double Stroke, body only. Year 1956, S/N 844703.
Overall grade: Exc+3.
Early production: glass pressure plate, old speed scale.
Clear finder. Small dent on the top plate, visible wear on the baseplate.

CONDITION

• Top plate: Exc+3. Clean engravings (Leica DBP, Ernst Leitz GmbH Wetzlar Germany, M3-844703). One micro dent on the rear edge, rewind side, below the "W" of "Wetzlar", chrome intact. See photo.
• Front: Exc+4. Vulcanite complete, no missing pieces. Finder windows clean.
• Back: Exc+4. Vulcanite complete. Film reminder dial (ASA/DIN) present. Eyepiece clean. Both flash sockets with covers.
• Baseplate: Exc+3. Wide wear marks on the center area. Dark marks in the center. One small mark near "close-zu". Chrome dull in some areas. See photo.
• Shutter: all speeds work, 1s to 1/1000. Old speed scale (1-2-5-10-25-50-100-250-500-1000). Curtains look even, no damage seen : backlight test for pinholes.
• Rangefinder / Finder: 0.91x finder, clear and bright. Good contrast. Vertical and horizontal alignment OK. Frame lines 50 / 90 / 135  : frame selection tested].
• Film advance: double stroke lever works smoothly.
• Pressure plate: glass type, original early production. See photo.
• Interior: clean, no corrosion seen. Film rails in good condition. Film loading diagram plate present. Take-up spool marked "Germany".
• Self-timer tested / Flash sync :  Not tested.
