This set has been carefully preserved.

THE LEICA M4

The M4 is widely regarded as the most refined of the classic Leica M series.
Introduced in 1966 and produced until 1975, it brought three key improvements
over the M3 and M2: a rapid film loading system, a new film rewind crank,
and a four-frameline viewfinder (35/50/90/135mm) — making it the most
versatile M body of its era.

The 1969 Wetzlar production represents the mid-period of M4 manufacturing,
before the transition to Leitz Canada. German-made M4s are consistently
preferred by collectors worldwide.
